Bound Warlord should not exist. Scribes of the Outer Planes record it as a failed fusion of Apocalypse's leader craft, Magneto's Marvel legend, and Mira — a monstrosity stitched from blue-gray mutant overlord with a stretched skull and living armor, caped magnetic sovereign in a crested helm and the vampyric duelist in a torn ballgown, blades of crystallized blood. It hunts as if remembering every war its parents ever lost.

Shapechanger. Bound Warlord can use its action to polymorph into a Medium or Small humanoid it has seen, or back into its true form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed.

Adamant Hide. Bound Warlord's attacks count as magical. Critical hits against Bound Warlord become normal hits unless the attacker is using a magical adamantine weapon.

Tyrant's Presence. Allies within 30 feet of Bound Warlord that can hear it can add 1 to attack rolls. Bound Warlord has advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks.

Magnetic Carapace. Ranged weapon attacks against Bound Warlord are made with disadvantage. Bound Warlord has advantage on saving throws against being disarmed or having metal objects pulled from it.

Actions

Multiattack. Bound Warlord makes 2 Bone-Metal Spear attacks. It can replace one attack with Polar Crush.

Bone-Metal Spear. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (6d8) piercing damage plus 12 (3d6 +1) necrotic damage.

Polar Crush. Every scrap of metal in the field answers at once. Each creature in a 30-foot cone must make a DC 21 Strength saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) force damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Creatures in metal armor have disadvantage on the save and are knocked prone on a failure.

Red Waltz. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 34 (8d8 -2) necrotic damage. The chimera moves through the target's space and regains hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt.

Reactions

Punish the Opening. When a creature within 10 feet of Bound Warlord misses it with a melee attack, Bound Warlord can make one Bone-Metal Spear attack against that creature.
