Realm Master’s GuideThe Table

Running Aegis Reign

Your job at the table

When Chaos hits 6, the council is not flavor. Flip the two-minute glass.
When Chaos hits 6, the council is not flavor. Flip the two-minute glass.

You are not a novelist sitting behind a screen. You are the keeper of timing, the reader of Seed, the witness of Accords, and the person who stops the game when Chaos reaches 6. Micro Reign is the current authority. Grand Reign is parked. Do not expand parked content to fill a quiet session.

This book is the 3.5 Dungeon Master’s Guide analogue: setup, hidden information, economy, Chaos, the Crown Round, encounters (still OPEN), the full 89-card architecture, playtest discipline, production, and the authority ledger. Players own Paths, combat, and the feel of a House. You own the clock and the contradictions.

What you protect

  • The one-minute turn and the two-minute diplomacy / Breaking Point windows.
  • The 30-second Reveal. Pause the turn timer. Do not skip it.
  • Scarcity. Nothing at this table creates goods or Coin unless a later lock says so.
  • Separate hit and damage rolls.
  • The reservation of cards 001–020 for the creator’s design pass.
Change only one or two variables between sessions. State the test question before setup.
