Using the Map Planner

Paint, Seed, count, cut

Open the planner from the press dashboard. Choose 24 × 24 or Twin Thrones 18 × 18. Paint tiles from the shared palette. Drop Seed markers for Production, Veiled, Encounter, Resonance, and Wild. Save into the active edition. Read the materials strip before you walk to the hardware store.

Planner loop

  1. Name the map after the test question, not after a novel title. “Test A — 18 central, three Discovery.”
  2. Block walls first so diagonals cannot cheat. Then floors. Then sites.
  3. Place two production sites of different goods. Place one dormant encounter. Leave the large encounters off.
  4. Export the count. Cut cardboard at 1:1 if you can, or ½ scale if the table is a kitchen.
  5. After play, note which tiles never moved and stop painting those first.

Pictures from the vault can be dropped onto a chapter plate in any of the three books. They can also sit beside a saved map as reference photos of the real foam. Photograph the finished set in the same light every time so the edition log means something.
