A tactile table is the product

The bench is the third book. If it cannot be built at home, it does not belong in Prototype v0.1.

Dwarven Forge proved that a 1-inch grid of painted modular stone makes people lean in. You do not need their catalog. You need XPS foam, cardboard, a knife you respect, a paint triad you will not abandon, and enough electronics literacy to light a lantern and tap a relic without turning the rules into an app.

This book is the missing third core: a builder’s manual in the same page language as the Player’s Handbook and Realm Master’s Guide. It is not a Monster Manual. Encounters are still OPEN. What is not open is the board. Micro Reign is a 24 × 24 coordinate grid with 1-inch cells. That is two feet square. Twin Thrones cuts it to 18 × 18. You will build tiles that drop onto that grid, not a diorama that cannot be reset.

Principles

  • Modular over scenic. Every piece must lift off so Seed can change the Realm.
  • Grid-honest. If the rule is 1-inch cells, the tile is 1-inch or a clean multiple.
  • Paint does the expensive work. Geometry stays simple.
  • Electronics are flourish. Every effect has a manual fallback. No phone. No laser in V0.1.
  • Prototype first in cardboard. Graduate to foam. Paint last.
Minis are not required for the current quick prototype. Tokens read. Terrain seduces.
